I'm leaving for RSA via Atlanta on Delta on 8/15/11. I just went to the Delta website and printed out their rules re: firearms. Just the normal stuff, until I read the last sentence which states: "Ammunition in excess of 11 lbs. per passenger or that contains potential projectiles is not allowed." I understand the weight limit, but can anyone tell me what constitutes a "potential projectile"?? If any other AR members are on the flight let me know. We can chew the fat while on that long flight across the pond. Tom Z NRA Life Member

$.10 says that they meant "explosive" projectiles. Heck, anything is a "potential" projectile, isn't it. Have a good trip! JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

If you carry bullets or brass they will be able to say it's part of the regulation. If I remember correctly Air France only allows loaded ammo. Since they may fly to destinations where reloading is illegal and components possession is illegal, they thereby cover their ass. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.
