Dear Guests

Is there a (GOOD local Europe Travel Agent) whom specialises in (Safari/Hunting Travel bookings) for clients from Greater Europe to Southern Africa.

I dont mean the run of the mill travel agent ...

I want (SOMEONE such a Kathi) whom is a botique specialist arranging (hunters travel bookings) as hunters have special issues such as travelling with guns ammo.

Is there such a BEAST around in Europe as if YES then they would be well patronised I believe.

Website link welcome

Cheers, Peter

peter

my expirence is that most europeans simply click the box stating sporting firearms when they buy the ticket and use the time to get the relavant papers done beforehand.
and get the outfitter to help do the paperwork for the african costums, most of my friends and costumers do it that way.

do you have a client that needs help ?

If so PM me and i might be abel to steer you in the right direction.

best

peter

Hello Peter

Thank you for the responce.

NO I dont have a specific client at this moment,

Most of ther USA hunters have a (specialist in the USA) whom handles all their bookings including permit forms and other red tape.

I wanted to find out for the future if there was (someone in Europe whom was a specialist) in booking hunting clients traveling from Europe to Southern Africa.

Cheers, Peter

Hello Peter,

I agree with Peter "The Dane".

My experience is that Europeans; Well ..... Just get on with it. When I go to RSA I simply ask well in advance for an Invitation Letter from my Sponsor and obtain my own Permit from the Central Firearms Directory myself. Everyone (here in Germany) who has queried me about this now does their own too.

There may be a European "Top Drawer" Travel Agency although I couldn't tell you who this could be.

Then there's the National issues - German use German Agents, Brits - British and so forth.

The only German Agency I know of that specializes in Africa is Iwanovski's Riesen (Iwanovski's Travel) in Bonn but they don't do any hunting related bookings - simply Travel & Photo Safaris.

Here in the Fatherland there are many large & small Agencies that Book Sporting Tours throughout Africa. I guess the biggest name in this group would be Blaser Tours. Yes, the rifle & shotgun manufacturer - I guess in Teutonland they are the most "exclusive" from what I've seen of their offerings.

Cheers,

In spain I use Julio Marin. (viajes Itaca) He is being sending hunters trough out Africa for the last 30 years. he moves all the topcats in spain. Extremely useful and a very serious person. His phone Nº is (0034) 914012416.
Just my two cents

Peter,

I'm in the process of looking into this myself. My brother runs a travel agency which specialises in gaming travel, and I have access to the booking platform through him. However the variety of national regulations throughout Europe makes this job very complicated indeed.

In the UK we have the capability to clear guns for clients at the airports through our Registered Firearms Dealership (RFD) and also export guns that people buy here for them to take them back home.

Regarding Southern Africa. I tend to stick to what I know and generally use Virgin Atlantic for direct flights to Jo'burg. No troubles to date with carrying firearms and direct flights.

It often surprises me that so many people do not fly into the UK with their guns en-route to Africa as when it is done correctly this is a simple procedure and also gives the opportunity for some hunting close to London.

PM me if you would like a more detailed breakdown of how things work here, and I'm happy to help you out if I can with clients.

Rgds,
Kiri
