I'm going to be in Mozambique hunting Leopard near the Zimbabwe border in September. Does anyone know if if there is cell phone coverage near Cinzini/Mauve?

I would rather not have to buy a new sim-card for my Iridium phone if I can get cell service, albeit expensive.

Any thoughts on this?

In 2008 I sat at the Sena camp on the Zambezi river and got near perfect reception

Check the charges. It might be cheaper to get a world sim or the iridium sim.
