We are flying Emirates to Johannesburg in May. As we have a longer than usual connection time, Emirates includes a hotel for the layover. Has anyone tried this service? Was it easy to depart and return to the airport for the departure flight? Thanks.....Larry

Relatively easy. Get out of customs and there is a booth and sitting area. They put you on a bus and take you to a hotel 10 min from the airport. I had a 15 min wait for the bus. Check in and you can use your boarding pass to eat at the near continuous 24 hour buffet. Near continuous buses back to airport. Pretty good set up. Mike

Easy peasy. Airport was full of Emirates employees so when in doubt ask them for directions. Go to Emirates hotel transfer desk and check in, then take the shuttle to the hotel. ------------------------------- Some Pictures from Namibia Some Pictures from Zimbabwe An Elephant Story

It has been a couple of years since I used that service but at that time they had cars at the airport to take you to and from the hotel.

I think First and Business Class passengers get an Emirates car. Economy passengers get collected by bus.
