My wife and I will be overnighting in Dubai later this year on our way from Boston to Zambia.

We have never been to Dubai (or Zambia) before.

Any suggestions for a fine hotel in Dubai will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Best,

Mike

Sounds like a great trip.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with either destination. However, I believe a “fine” hotel in Dubai can sure be had for a “fine” price!

What’s on your hunt agenda?

Mike,

You should ask Emirates.

They have partner hotels all over the city, and I am sure they will find a good deal for you.

If you and your wife would like to come by our house for a drink, you are very welcome.

I do travel quite a bit, but let me know what your flight timetable is.

Best of luck.

Saeed

A few years back I had a very nice three bedroom suite at the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel. The room was on a high floor overlooking the Palm Jumeriah (the man-made palm tree-shaped island) and the yachts in the marina. The dining room table sat eight, plenty big enough for meetings. At the time, the bar on the top floor had a 35 year old Ardbeg single malt that almost made me forget I was there for business.

Lots of very nice hotels in Dubai. As Saeed said asking Emirates is your best bet.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will contact Emirates. And thanks for the invitation Saeed. I sent you a PM. I will be hunting leopard and plains game.

Through Emirates, we booked a Diplomatic Suite at a 5 star hotel for a remarkably low rate. There must be too many hotels in Dubai!

Thanks, again, for the recommendation to contact Emirates.
