SCLawyerDuty Free JNB vs. HRE
Guys, flying Zim today. I want to grab a nice bottle of scotch or some champagne for camp. I depart JNB at 6:20...worried duty free won't be open then....if not, is there a place to buy the above at HRE before I get on my charter into camp? Thx.

I think you should have your PH grab you one locally real quick..WhatsApp him and pay him cash whe you get there
I don’t think HRE has one and your right about JNB that time of day

SaeedAirport duty free should be open 24 hours a day!

jdollarSince both Zim and RSA are members of SAEDC, you can’t buy duty free items in JNB shops to take to a member country. Unless the law has changed recently. I ran into this last year transitting to Windhoek through JNB. Clerks ask for your boarding pass and passport. When they see you’re heading to a SAEDC country, sale ends. Good luck.

SCLawyerThanks. My PH is getting it for me before we fly into the bush. Problem solved.
