I'm getting ready to make my airline reservations. What is the latest scoop on which airline to use and why?

Walt: We used Delta non-stop from Atlanta this year in July/August and both flights were problem free, other than we missed our connection going over by 5 mins and had to spend a night in Atlanta. Delta took care of us with a room and meal vouchers, as well as some travel incidentals (toiletries). I really liked the 777 and thought that this trip was the best of any of the 8 previous flights that I had been on. Since the World Cup, the Joburg airport has been upgraded and the airline people were very friendly and helpful. No hassles or problems with the firearms either. It was the fastest check-in in Joburg for departing that I've ever experienced.
