One of the advantages of travelling overseas to hunt is doing side trips and learning and experiencing things that you would not normally experience.

Here is the young bloke at 14yo Bungie jumping off Vic Falls Bridge between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The only reason he went through with it was because he had big noted to his mates at school that he was going to do it and could not back out.

You can see he is nervous. (You can also see him wearing two shirts as he was going to trade one for curios at the local market afterwards. New clothes are non existant in Zimbabwe).

He had more guts than his old man. I wasn't even going to contemplate jumping.

I wanted to try that, but my Ortho surgon said it might tear my new knee apart. I talked with a guy at the airport that did it and he said his knees were still (2 days later) hurting from the stress placed on them. Its hell when you get old, do it while you are young, eh.

That was great. Glad to see they basically push you off as I know I would not have the nads to just jump. I've actually watched it but......

I wouldn't do that in the states where my family could sue the operator if the lines broke much less in Zim.

Can't buy flour in the store but they can get good quality bungie cords? hmmmm....

and then there is always the possibility of this happening.

Is the jump on the Zim side or Zam side?

The 'site' office and company video recording is on the Zambian side so that is where the supplies come from. We bought the ticket from our Vic Falls Hotel.

We had a ball for three days in Vic Falls and no problems in Zim worth talking about.

did the bungee jump about 6 years ago. at that time, they filmed all the jumps from multiple cameras around the gorge and on the bridge. if you bought the edited tape( very professionally edited, i might add) they gave you a second jump for free. since i obviously wanted the tape and the second jump was free- why not?? the second jump was only marginally easier than the first. the climb back onto the bridge through the steel girders underneath- all well coated in slimy algae that had been growing for over 100 years- was almost as scary as the jump.
