United Airlines UAL plans to expand its Cape Town service from seasonal to year round in June. As per reports, there is strong demand for international travel this year. The current news is that we will be dropping our "State of Disaster" on the 15th of March. Hoping that they will be either dropping the testing requirements completely like many other countries are doing now or only require a rapid test, as well as getting rid of the masks.

We are flying United to Joberg in April. Paid $4500 for biz class RT back in July 2021, just checked and the new rate is over $11K. Seems to be becoming a popular way to SA..... quick trip at a little over 15 hours.

Marius, I hope they drop the silly testing requirements!!

Let's hope that the U.S. drops their requirement for the 24 hour PCR test to return home. Hopefully the mask mandate in airports and while on the plane also get's dropped.

We're off to Ireland and Portugal in May so I am cautiously optimistic.

Great news, one of my biggest problems with the thought of going back is the flights.

Flying sucks!

Returning to the USA only requires an Antigen/Rapid Test. Results are back in around 10 minutes. We are doing them on the same day, on the way to the airport for our guests.
