I am flying in for my first African hunt for plains game. Any related advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you're flying out of Atlanta I think Delta is your only option. Other options from the east coast are South AFrican air out of NY or Dulles in VA.

In regards to August, it is a busy time so if you are after a certain seat like Prefered Comfort, book as early as possible as those seats go first.

Often overlooked is the bulkhead row 44. Has twice the leg room as Preferred Comfort without the additional cost.

Also remember the plane unloads front to back. The sooner you are off the plane the sooner you will be in line at Customs!!!

But with a meet and greet you get through Customs before just about anyone else...

And if you're staying at the City Lodge, you will be sipping on a Scotch before the last ones are through Customs.
