FYI, on my most recent flight from the US to Africa, TSA opened my bag and removed a small bottle of both bore solvent and gun oil. They left a note saying one was combustible and the other flammable. They did not take the adjacent "Rem Oil" packets. "There are worse memorials to a life well-lived than a pair of elephant tusks." Scott, I usually take a synthetic lube and a silicone rags. TSA looks at the bottle but nothing has ever been confiscated. Mark MARK H. Let's contact Hoppes (or other manufacturers) and ask them to make foil wrapped patches for cases like this. I'd buy them just to not have to carry a bottle.

I guess it depends who is working TSA that day. When looking at the TSA and flying in general, trying to follow the rules and expecting to have the rules evenly applied is bound to disappoint. Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps.

I have never had TSA take any "fluids" out of my baggage. However, I always carry small bottles of Prolix, BreakFree, and Ballistol, in the ziplock bag with my shampoo, toothpaste, etc, that I carry on. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

Take a Bore Snake and some sealed packets. Or soak some patches in solvent and pack in plastic ziplock bag. (solvent proof) If hunting the zambizi delta take a lot of sealed packets.
