I'm thinking about flying Qatar Air and I wanted to see if anyone has any recent experience. It seems pretty straightforward.

I fly Qatar Air regularly. They have become my airline of choice to travel to Namibia. Doha could not be any easier. Your bags are checked straight through to your destination so there is no having to hustle your bags from one airline to another and better yet, there is no customs entry delays as there are at JNB.

If you have a long layover, then the Airport Hotel is an easy 200 yard walk once you enter the airport. You can book through Booking.com and save a few bucks. Plus it is a busy hotel and they do run out of rooms from time to time.
