Got a business trip lined out for July and August. We'll first be headed from the USA to Australia then on to RSA from there. How long is the flight from Australia to RSA?

Thanks,

Graybird

From Perth to Jnb about 11 hours see Flight SAA 281

and from Sydney to JNB about 14.30

The Sydney one can be interesting, though because they often make a deep loop south and you end up seeing Antarctica ... (so what to do for the other 14 hours) Wink

Not sure if you'll be taking firearms or not but there was a thread on here within the last year about problems travelling through Perth with firearms.

No idea if it applies in your situation but if so you might want to do some research.

There would be more to that story if you were coming to Australia on business with firearms and then continuing on to RSA. Happy to explain if that is the case.

Yes Perth can be a nightmare.... their Customs officials are 'special'. Roll Eyes

Most of our business stops will be around the Melbourne area, so I'm inclined to think we'll be in the eastern side of the country. Just looking around at flights yesterday and it seemed many of the flights went thru Perth.

No concern with firearms, we'll just borrow what we need when we get there.

Thanks for the info!

Try at all costs to avoid Perth. It's a shit hole.......fly above it and forget it.

If you don't have firearms then all sort of ok. But they don't deserve your money or your time.
