just came back from zambia. flew delta (air miles are nice) to joberg and saa to lusaka. delta is the first american airline into south africa & i got the feeling they aren't very welcome. their ticket booth is stuffed back in a corner, & they get shoved back in the line when landing/takeing off. Then baggage doesn't quick make the transfer in joberg. Some bags do and some don't. My guns were a day late, but everything else was on time. Delta people just shrugged their shoulders and told us that it was usual that all the baggage didn't make the connections. they had room on the plane, but it somehow just didn't get put on. Others at atlanta having the same problems. I got the feeling that saa was doing it deliberately to make delta look bad. also understand that saa is up for sale. seems like BA is becoming the way to go. Nobody was having problems with them that i talked to.
