Kathi,
Do you think this will be a better option than Delta to J-berg?

The couple times I've flown Turkish Arline's they've been awesome. Likely the nicest airline I've ever flown but they did lose our guns for a day once.

Guys,

Did I miss something? I read the blurb twice but I didn't get that it would help NA hunters. It mentioned Istanbul to Harare and connections to Europe. Wouldn't it just be a really around the world trip to get to Harare via Turkish Air?

I was looking recently for trips to the UK and Turkish Airlines was one o the lower cost options for Business Class. I just didn't want to fly for 20 hours and go from Los Angeles to Istanbul to London.

My family has flown Turkish to Istanbul twice and both times Turkish was great and cheaper. I would welcome the option of Turkish.

You will have to look at a map,Mark, but surprisingly Harare and Dar es Saalam are almost due south of Istanbul

You don't know what you are missing!

I have a friend, who let his wife find a "cheapest" ticket for him to go from Dubai to Morocco.

We have direct flights, but apparently she found him a cheaper flight.

Dubai-Italy-Portugal-Spain then by boat to Morocco.

Layover in Italy alone was 18 hours clap

And how much did he save?

About $180. clap

This will be a great way to get to Zim. I used Turkish air to Arusha a couple years ago and all went great. Direct flight to Istanbul from the States,a fairly short layover and then on to Arusha non stop. A hell of a lot quicker (both in time and air miles) than thru JoBurg,or a stop in Europe. The only bad thing was a departure time back to Istanbul of about 1:30 in the morning.
