Hey guys I just flew Delta to JNB and back. I left 8/31 and returned 9/17. I cleared my rifles going over here at small airport in East TN no problems checked all the way through to JNB. On the way back I had zero issues clearing my guns in Atlanta. Had to wait maybe 5 min to go into the glass room and then maybe took 5 minutes for the guy to look at my 4457 and serial numbers. Nothing to it. The only thing that was bad was apparently where Delta has quit flying the 777 and now using the Airbus, whichever Airbus model it is if there is a full plane it cannot make it all the way back without refueling. We stopped in San Juan Puerto Rico for crew change and refuel. We were on the ground for about an hour and never left the plane. This added about 2 hrs to the flight. Some people missed their connections in Atlanta. I took that flight 4 weeks ago with no stopover. It's a Airbus A350-900 and while its at the limit of it's range, that not the regular schedule. Either you needed to divert around weather or more likely the crew timed out.

I did that flight last week and had no stop over. Firearm check was smooth as could be, no issues whatsoever.
