| All I use... Most convenient, specially considering all the different modes of travel you end up using in Africa. Stay away from zipped bags.. Very easy to break into.. I always use a small padlock along with the snap. Btw.... You can also fold up a spare duffel inside, just in case you do some big trinket shopping..

| I have used a parachute bag on 4 trips to Africa. Had no problems, the main advantage is with a zipper bag you do not have to dump all your gear to locate something at the bottom of a duffel bag. All soft sided bags are can be breached with a knife or razor. The new USGI duffel bags are made of coated nylon, lighter than the old canvas bags.
