It shouldn't really matter as you will probably be on the same airplane either way.

United and Lufthansa have been sharing flights for years and are both in the Star Alliance.

Pick whichever one gives the best price or whichever mileage program you belong to.

I don't know if they do or not but I'd be sure United has a baggage agreement with Air Namibia, otherwise it's no contest, fly Lufthansa and you can check your bags all the way through. If United doesn't, then you'll have to take possession of bags, deal with customs and wait in long lines to re-check your baggage with Air Nam.

Otherwise, I'd compare costs, AIRCRAFT, and arrival times in Frankfurt.

Good point on the baggage agreement. United is $100 cheaper but if no baggage agreement, not worth the hassle to me. Thanks guys.

I would recommend Lufthansa. All of Air Namibia's duties are handled by Lufthansa in Frankfurt and you will find that if there are any questions or problems it is easier dealing with just one airline.

Lufthansa is very typically German. Well run and efficient. My guns were misplaced (twice) on my return to Atlanta last year and all the Americans I questioned about it were of no help. I got ahold of a Lufthansa employee and he took charge of the task of finding my guns and had them shortly.
