I see on the web that Airberlin flies to Windhoek, Namibia from Munich 2 days a week; Sunday & Wednesday. The return is Monday & Thursday. It could work for me, because I would take Delta out of Atlanta (non-stop) to Munich and then Airberlin (non-stop) to Windhoek.
Has anyone taken this airline to Windhoek?
Something tells me the transfer of firearms would be a nightmare.

Thanks for any feedback.

Don't know about your route but from Munich to Vienna the baggage fees were more than the ticket price for a family of four.

Hello,
i think they do transport weapons+ammo but you have to pay 75€ per flight (from europe to namibia).

You might check out LTU which I believe also serves the Windhoek-Munich route. However, I was told (not certain) that LTU does not allow firearms as baggage.

The Frankfurt route is fine, but Frankfurt doesn't offer the scenery that Munich does if you're staying over a few days.
