Booked a ticket on Air France. Business Class with points. Atl. to Paris with a 10 hour layover in Paris. Is there anything close to the airport to see? Can you get into the AF lounge with BC ticket?

Haven't flown AF in years, but the last time I did you could get into the lounge with a BC seat.

Last August we took the double decked (top deck is open) guided tour bus into Paris and just stayed on it as it took us everywhere, to all of the famous places and sites. You could get off at any of the stops on the tour or stay on bus and just take pictures. You got a set of headphones and the tour was in quite a few languages. Just pick the language, sit back and enjoy the scenery and learn all about Paris and French history. Ask the people at the Airport Sheraton for the details and information. You could spend about 6-8 hours of time doing that.

I am Flying AF from Seattle, also on rewards miles Business class. My layover was set at 3 hours. They later changed the flight times giving me a 10 hour stop over in Paris. I spoke with them and they stated I could use the lounge as I was flying on a Business class status. Good luck & Safe travel to you. I am going on my 1st Buffalo Hunt. Life is GOOD! dancing

As a business class passengers, whether ticket was puchased at a full fare or using your miles, you are entitled to make use of the business class lounge facilities both in Paris and in Johannesburg on your return.

If you are looking for a pre-arranged tour with private guide check out this website : http://www.paris-tours-guides....b/fr_daytrippers.htm

It is a little pricey though!

Enjoy!

UEG- How did you hook up with the bus tour you are referring to? That may be a good way to use my time and see most of what one is supposed to see in Paris.

Here is link to a number of the hop-on-hop-off bus tour companies. You will probably need to get downtown to start the tour.

Hope this helps.

We caught a bus downtown at the airport after asking about it at the Sheraton Airport Hotel. It took us right to the Arch D' Truimph (spelling) where we caught one of the Le Tour Buses. We also returned at that spot back to the airport when we were finished touring.

UEG- With you being in transit I suppose you were able to leave firearms in the possession of Air France and did not have to claim and then re-check on your way out.Is that correct?Did you have any hassles with firearms from Air France?
