I was looking at some plains game hunts in March or April and looked for some direct flights from the USA to Africa. Everything I saw had layovers in Europe mainly at Schiphol and Heathrow with a few at Charles de Gaulle too. With COVID slowdowns in Africa, I probably need to decide if I'm going quickly for paperwork slowdown reasons but, I could always rent a rifle there as a fall-back option. UAE-based flights don't seem practical to me so that really isn't a viable alternative under any circumstance. So, for those looking to go on Safari and help the local economies preserve their conservation efforts, what do flights look like for you?
