Hello all, my Professor and I are considering traveling through dubai on our way to Dar es Salam for a scientific presentation, if we take this route we will have an overnight in Dubai, are there any hotels that someone could recommend staying at???? would we need visas?

We will not have rifles...so gun permits wont be an issue. Also, we don't want to break the bank, so no 1000/night hotels either. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a New Zealand passport, as well as all European, American and Australian, you do not need a visa.

Hotels are a dime a dozen here, ranging from $50 dollars a night to as high as you can guess.

You best bet is to check with your travel agent, they can give you all the relevant information you need.

I should think about traveling Emirates from NZ - Australia - Dubai - Johannesburg, when next I travel to Africa

1) I have a NZ passport / so no worries there

2) I have a Dubai Bank Account / so no worries there

3) My bank balance is waaaaay down / so I might have to sleep on the beach and look at the stars (-:
