It been a few years however, the Credit Card scammers are alive and well.

This is the second go around this year with my card being borrowed and I had received a new credit card 3 weeks ago and it is tucked in a RFD sleeve.

Thursday afternoon i was home watching the NCAA basketball game(s), when i receive a text that i was purchasing a $250+ item, i have notification sent to my i phone and to my Apple Watch. I usually have the notification sent to me before i have a receipt printed. (I have had my card borrowed so many time in the past i have set up the notification process). I called the credit card company to let them know that i never made the purchase, and while i was talking to them 2 additional purchases were being charged to my card. So the card was canceled and a new one is on the way.

I currently live in New Mexico and my credit card was being used in South Carolina for this go around.

Now i need to have my new card in my hand before i can go to Oregon for the spring salmon run. That is if there is a run this year.

My bank card was borrowed a couple years ago. Soneone bought prescription drugs, got an escort and a hotel room with it. Told the bank lady, that guy was having more fun with my card than I ever did. She didn't find the humor in that.

Great advice. Check your card purchases a couple of times a month as well. Having fraud alerts from the Credit Card Companies has saved me (and them) a number of times.

How about this:

My wife got new cards for an account she uses, but I don't. When my card showed up in the mail, it went to the safe. I have never carried, nor used it online. The cards have different numbers.

Three months ago a funky charge comes up from a SWIPED CARD purchase on the card that went from my mailbox to my safe. The cc company could not believe it had never left my house. I can only imagine people skim them at the card manufacturing plant or while handling mail.

Not a "borrowed card"
But similar.

I recently ordered FOUR tee shirts from

King Size in El Paso that I have been doing business with for years. They ship without a receipt.

Today I got the card statement.

IT shows I was charged $195.75 for FOUR Tee Shirts! That's $50 each.

I just finished typing a letter telling them to verify and do some refiguring before I cancel the full purchase.

I know it's just a screwup on their end.
