I believe we have all of our T's crossed and I's doted thus far. We have permission from his parents and will get an attorney to draw up a letter to allow us to take him out of the country along with medical permission if necessary. He has a current full passport. He is on our travel insurance and Global Rescue contract. We have booked airline tickets along with ours. We have hunted with this PH/outfitter twice in the past yrs. and is fully aware that our 13 yr. old grandson will accompany us on our future hunt 4/15. Has anyone had experience with a situation such as this? Again, we believe we have covered all bases, but is always easier to ask for those with experience. Thank you all for your input and knowledge.

As an attorney, I would suggest you have a Power of Attorney from the parents that is Notarized with a raised seal. Also, you should have a copy of the parents health insurance cards that cover your grandson. Take plenty of pictures and have a great time!

You'll also need a certified copy of his birth certificate. That's a fairly new requirement, I think within the last month. I know with the passport it seems odd, but TIA! Have fun!

Just check with your travel agent and SA Embassy. I have picked up that SA has just passed new laws pertaining to "human trafficking," which could be a serious ball ache at arrivals if things are not correct. http://www.southafrica.info/tr...614.htm#.U6KTW5SSxBk http://www.news24.com/Travel/S...g-with-kids-20140609
