For those that have traveled on one of the SAA flights from Dulles, connecting in Jo-berg on another SAA flight to Zim or elsewhere, I presume that you checked your luggage all the way through to the final destination. That being the case, is there any need to worry about making special arrangements in Jo-berg to ensure that the luggage makes the connecting flight out of Jo-berg?

I had a problem last year, booked thru Joberg to Windhoeck. Plane left Dulles late, so I missed the connection with the SAA flight. I got a seat on Air Namibia, but that meant I had to get my rifle, which meant going thru SAPS without a letter of invitation. Big effing prob. As usual, solved with a Benji to a security guy.Incidentally, BA is agent for Air Nam. when there is no Air Nam agent present, and BA was absolutely no help.
