https://visaguide.world/news/k...-visitors-from-2024/ Kenya to Permit Visa-Free Entry to All Visitors From 2024 KENYAVISA & PASSPORT Written by Bleona Restelica Published on December 14, 2023 Nairobi, Kenya © Mustafa Oman | Unsplash Travelers from all over the world will soon be able to enter Kenya visa-free. Instead, foreigners entering the country will be required to complete a travel authorization form. The move is aimed at promoting tourism in the country. All visitors to Kenya, regardless of their country of origin, will soon be able to enter the country visa-free, Kenya’s President William Ruto has confirmed. According to President Ruto, starting next year, travelers will no longer have to undergo the visa process to obtain the document. However, it has been stressed that visitors will have to meet another requirement. During a speech held at the country’s capital, Nairobi, President Ruto said that the government has developed a digital platform. This platform will ensure that all visitors to the country will receive an electronic travel authorization before their arrival, Reuters explains. This means that travel authorisation will replace visas, making it easier for all visitors to reach the country, VisaGuide.Wolrd reports. It shall no longer be necessary for any person from any corner of the globe to carry the burden of applying for a visa to come to Kenya. According to Reuters, President Ruto has consistently supported the idea of unrestricted travel across the African continent without the need for visas. During a conference that was held in the Republic of Congo earlier this October, President Ruto said that citizens of the African countries would be able to travel to Kenya without a visa by the end of this year. However, it seems that after some revisions, the country decided to permit visa-free travel to everyone and introduce travel authorization instead. Kenya’s decision to permit unrestricted entry is closely linked to the country’s attempt to help its economic sector, which is very dependent on foreign tourism. Welcoming everyone reaching the country, President RUto said “feel at home and welcome,” and the same said that they are ready for a high number of visitors. Earlier in October, the Kenya Association of Travel Agents revealed that the country had seen a remarkable recovery in its travel sector, with a 90 percent increase in arrivals. Taking into account such a notable increase, Kenya expects to see further growth next year, thus reaching the pre-pandemic levels and exceeding them. During a meeting, the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Alfred Mutua, said that they want to make changes to ensure that Kenya becomes one of the most preferred destinations for tourists. “We are dedicated to fostering an environment that ensures Kenya remains a premier destination for global travelers. I, therefore, pledge to bring this matter to my fellow colleagues in the cabinet, and we will endeavor to find an equitable and efficient solution.” Mutua The same said that the country will continue to welcome everyone and offer unforgettable experiences. All, you’re missing out if you never visit Kenya. I had no interest in Kenya since there is no hunting, but this past February I booked a trip there for my non hunters daughter and her fiancé. We enjoyed a few of the very best weeks I’ve ever spent anywhere in Africa. 4 days on Mara North, then 5 days at Watamu on the Indian Ocean, followed by travel across Tsavo East & West. Then we dropped them off on the north side of Kilimanjaro and I went home while they climbed Kili. If you enjoy offshore fishing, Kenya has a world class fishery. We only tried our luck one day but raised 7 Marlin including a couple Blues, boated and released 2 striped Marlin and kept a wahoo for dinner. Some boats did much better than us. Tom Dames, who is a very good PH in his own right (he hunts Tanzania for Kilombero North), is also a member of the Ker & Downey Safaris team. He booked an absolutely flawless trip for us and I recommend him very highly. Anyone who visits Kenya, despite no hunting there, will be glad they visited the country. I’m looking forward to going there again, multiple times in the future.

I've seen miles of Kenya, from a high spot across the border, but never been there.
