I hunted Zambia in 2008 and 2010 with Kwalata Safaris, and very highly recommend the Luangwa valley. Great quantities of concentrated game plains game, crocs and leopard. (Also saw large quantities of elephant, but not of the size seen in Zimbabwe; also at the time there was a ban on importing tusks, etc. from Zambia to the US. Don't know if that's still the case). I booked through Wes Hixon Outdoor Adventures, and he was very thorough and communicative. I definitely would hunt Zambia again. Feel free to PM me if you'd like more information.

More predictably corrupt, but you will not see it. safe to go to but can be pricey compared to RSA or Namibia. Great hunting destination.

Of the 51 countries that make up Africa, it is in the top 10 of "ok" places to go. I would not hesitate to go as long as I had a local contact/guide.

Avoid Baobab Safaris and Nyampala Safaris and a PH Hartley Combrink and you should be fine.

When you say "traveling there" do you mean for tourism as opposed to hunting?
