Heard from my agent that the Doha to Windhoek flight has been suspended indefinitely. Last flight was late November '23. I won't go through Ethiopia so that leaves the Frankfurt flight or transiting through RSA.

A lot of people speak of trouble at JHB.....I typically go through there three times a year.....have been for years....no issues yet. Typically overnight at city lodge at the Airport..... No issues .

The Doha flight arrives about 4:30 AM in JNB. The connections to Windhoek, Kasane, or Zim generally leave about 8:30 or so. Never had to overnight and the transfer process is relatively painless. Vote Trump- Putin’s best friend… To quote a former AND CURRENT Trumpiteer - DUMP TRUMP

I’m not surprised, we did this route last September and there were probably only about 80-100 passengers. Doubt if it was a money maker except for cargo. Karl Evans

We ended up booking Delta through ATL to Joberg and a night at African Sky, then AirLink to Windhoek the next morning.

I'm doing the United flight from Cle to Newark to JNB, overnite at Africa Sky and on to Kasane in May. I'm not taking firearms on this trip. With firearms I go Turkish from Dulles thru Istanbul to JNB, overnite and Kasane the next day.. I have the long layover but at least the Turkish lounge in Istanbul is excellent.. Business class prices are rather crazy right now BTW...
