I leave in a week. But I'm telling myself that if you're heading to Zim to pursue dangerous game, one should be willing to accept some travel uncertainty also!

I think as long as your outfitter says it'll be okay, then it'll be okay. Those guys are the best at "making a plan."
I just went with SSG, got home 3 weeks ago, they had everything dialed in. I do realize that cases have flared up since then, but your PH/outfitter will figure it out if it can be done. If they can't, then they'll tell you. They don't want clients to have a problem.
One side benefit, going LAX-Dubai-HRE, my daughter and I had at LEAST an empty seat in between us and two flights we each were able to grab our own row of seats. So there's that...

For my previous flights, the Seattle-Dubai leg has been full of people returning to India; same with the reverse flight. I suspect that 713/714 will be more spacious this time. But Emirates does treat you well, even in steerage!

If there is one thing I have learned in life, it's to avoid "avoidable" risk. Taking a risk is one thing, if there is no other way and the reward is there. But taking a risk recklessly has always kicked my butt.
