I subscribe to a couple different travel websites and this morning, one of them was highlighting low fares to JNB. I did a search through Google flights and found flights from San Francisco for late May of 2020, for around $800.00. Checking further on Priceline, I found flights on Virgin Atlantic as low as $732.00 round trip from San Francisco to Jo’burg.

While Virgin may not be a first choice for hunters, they’re low cost and you can always rent a rifle. That’s about as inexpensive as I’ve ever seen this route. East coast departures were in the $600’s, round trip.

I am hunting Uganda's Karamoja region in February with a group of great guys, many of whom post here on AR. We just landed round trip biz class on Qatar from Houston to Entebbe for $3,500! Smoking deals are out there!

QA has the best business fares to Africa now. Our round trip from Atlanta to JNB this November were $3450. Only a 4 1/2 hr layover outbound and 2 1/4 hr return.
