Looks like to make the timing work my family, wife, son and daughter will have to overnight in PE? Any helpful hints would be appreciated. Thanks.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Many years ago my sons and I stayed in a hotel in PE called the Marine Protea, right on the beach. Very nice.

I Googled it, and it's still there, although apparently Marriott has bought it.

Here's a link that may work: http://www.marriott.com/hotels...19-a255-54ba596febe2

There was also a nice restaurant next door called De Kelder. I think it's also still operating. http://www.dining-out.co.za/md...-Port-Elizabeth/1454

I have to warn you, this information is ancient and I have no idea what the hotel or restaurant are like today, or if there are much better choices--maybe some of our RSA friends can comment?

Stayed at Treetops Guest House in PE a few years back. Very close to the airport and nice place. Check out Capetown Fish Market Restaurant if you have time and like seafood.

The Protea Chain has been acquired by Marriott which seems to have improved them a bit. The Protea Marine is a very nice hotel with a decent restaurant in it. It is a little further from the Boardwalk Shopping and Casino.

Adjacent to the Board walk are several hotels [search "Summerstrand Port Elizabeth" on Trip Advisor]

I actually like the Road Lodge best, it is clean , convenient to the Boardwalk, serves a good breakfast, has a convenient store right next door, and is I believe the cheapest rates in the neighborhood. There are several restaurants in the boardwalk shopping area, but the ocean beachfront restaurants right across the street from the Road Lodge are the best choice.

If you are just flying into PLZ late at night and leaving in the morning the Road Lodge at the airport is a short walk across the parking lot. Only Breakfast served however.
