I was talking to a work colleague about luggage security. He mentioned that he has just bought a Pacsafe duffel but hadn’t used It yet.
I was wondering if anyone here had used them for travel to Africa.
I’ve been using Red Oxx, Folsom and North Face for all my trips but I was thinking about getting something more secure because I’ll be traveling through Joberg later this year on my way to the BVC.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I've never used the PacSafe Duffle, but I have used the PacSafe Backpack for years all over the world as one of my carry ons. It is cut proof (wire mesh built into the backpack material), has an inside 'vault' with a cable lock, and the zippers are as fool proof as possible. Whenever I travel anywhere in the world, the PacSafe Backpack goes with me, along with my Samsonite hard side luggage. You've now made me curious about their duffle bag. Thanks.
I am a big fan have used their bags many times with no issues. I bought them on sierra trading post for a great price. any bag with a zipper is extremely vulnerable their zipper cant be easily opened and the cable mesh under fabric prevents slashing

I've seen these videos with the ball point pens many times. However, the zipper on the Pacsafe duffel is supposed to be different, as in designed to be theft proof,...or at least theft resistant. But again, I've never had one or even seen one.

the zipper is very durable and I tried the pen test and you would not penetrate . Anything can be broken into with time. I have a sense the theif would try and move on to an easier bag.
