Well, we just booked our flights to lusaka for next june. We booked first class out of washington dulles and doing a day layover on way in in dubai and 3 days on way out. Shawn at Gracy hooked us up. I have never flown emirates before nor first class. Pretty excited.

Emirates First unfortunately is not a bucket list item, it is a curse...……

I just, literally 6 hours ago, got off my first Emirates flights. We flew San Francisco to Dubai, then on to Lusaka. Just got back home. Hands down, the best overseas flights I’ve ever been on. We flew economy, and the flight from San Francisco to Dubai is over 15 hours. Even on that long flight, it was comfortable. Plenty of leg room (try to get 68A or F if you can) and good roomy seats. I’ll definitely be flying Emirates anytime they’re an option.

As for Dubai, yes by all means spend a few days there. It’s an amazing place and next time I’ll layover longer than the 36 hours I did this time. Very clean, vibrant, safe.
