AnOver Qualified BA Pilot!
This is the sort of Western FULLY QUALIFI4D and EXPERIENCED pilots who avoid working for Emirates! As Emirates only employs inexperienced, third world pilots fresh from flying schools in a grass hut!

Dude, let it go... let it go.

Just thought of bringing this to the attention of our members, so they can make a choice who to fly with.
A fully qualified drunk pilot or an inexperienced, third world pilot who is sober

I can drive drunk far better than a sober 16 year old. So your point?

I would prefer my 15 year old daughter drive me than you drunk!

DuggaBoyeThis was wrong on his part-period
having said that-
and having grown up flying with WW II generation pilots as instructors--
I promise you some of them were far better pilots drunk than most of the younger crew are sober

gunslinger55Pilots are human. Bad decisions happen but overall Professional pilots are some of the most responsible people I can think of. Me excluded ;D

robncoloradoI think he must have forgotten the golden rule of 8 hrs bottle to throttle.....
Obviously this pilot has problems, and I am glad he was caught before he could have caused some damage.
I think we are forgetting that we are all humans, and regardless of how qualified, educated or profession we are in, we still suffer from human short comings.

CumbrianThe UK drink drive limit is very low four pints could put you at 5 times the limit and no one is drunk after four beers.
Every single pilot I know that works here follow their own rule of no drink within 24 hours of duty.
