just wondering if anyone had flown the big Airbus 380 in first class and how it compares to first class on a 747 or 777- specifically on BA although maybe they are all pretty much the same. Vote Trump- Putin’s best friend… To quote a former AND CURRENT Trumpiteer - DUMP TRUMP

Flew business class several times, mainly to/from Frankfurt on Lufthansa - Spouse and SIL both thought they would not fly any other way in the future. Lay flat seats were good - When Continental became United, they changed the business/first seats, they were great before, but now, don't fit anyone over 5'10". The Lufthansa seats were a welcome improvement. Food was excellent, and service was great, as usual on Lufthansa. Flying them again in September, same route, except going to J-berg instead of Windhoek, Lufthansa instead of Air Namibia, mainly because of the better planes and service. Hunting in both countries, so SAPS is to be dealt with either way. You are going where? Have flown Air France A380 first class Paris to LAX and it was very good. Most airlines international first class product is the same regardless of aircraft type so I would suspect that BA's A380 is the same as on the 747 service although with the A380 you'd be assured of getting BA's new first class seating (BA currently has two types of first class and the new is definitely better than the old. You tend to find the old first class seating on 747's serving minor routes such as Vegas - London, Houston - London). I'm not sure how BA will outfit the amenities on their 380's but Air France was very nice with a changing room and a bathroom that you could actually use comfortably. Irrespective, BA's first class is good so I'd expect that their 380 first class will be at least as good and quite possibly better than their 747 service. Have a good flight.

thanks, Larry, but i already have the ticket- free with FF miles. i was just wondering how first class in the 380 compared to first in the Boeing jumbos. i am old enough to remember when the 747 had the lounge/bar upstairs- those were the days!!! Jdollar, i've flown several flights in first class to Asia on the A380 with Korean Air and in first on 747's with others. really no comparison the A380 as configured is wonderful. also flew 777 to new zealand in premium business and was almost as good. the newest seating and amenities were great.

that's what i was hoping to hear. i also know that a lot depends on how each airline configures the seats but wanted to get an overall opinion of first class in a 380. Vote Trump- Putin’s best friend… To quote a former AND CURRENT Trumpiteer - DUMP TRUMP
