Where do you all get credible information on flights and airline requirements for firearms?

I'm supposed to be flying out to Zambia on the 26th of August and have booked with Emirates. There was a thread on here that shared that Emirates had suspended the flights from Lusaka to Dubai on the 11th of June and I've been checking the "manage my booking" page on Emirates website which has a line mentioning the flight suspension and this hasn't changed.

There are only two airlines that fly out of New Zealand that we can take to Africa, Emirates and Singapore. I have spoken to 30/06 King who said that he tried to take a firearm through Singapore but found he could get a definitive answer for Singapore on whether he could or couldn't take a firearm so decided not to. I have looked on Singapore's website that states that sporting firearms can be taken with the usual 5kg ammunition, airline approved locked case etc. My travel agent contacted Singapore airlines who said I need my permit for New Zealand and explained the process for transiting Jo,burg but nothing on transiting Singapore so I rang the airline who said firearms are prohibited and cannot be carried at all.

I decided to ring Emirates to see if there was any update on the Lusaka to Dubai flight and was told that the flight has never been suspended and is running as per usual. I told the lady that the website showed a suspension, people in Zambia have clients effected, my travel agent told me as well and her reply was they are all wrong.

What am I supposed to believe and from who. It seems if I speak to three people I get four answers. I've even looked at flying to London and then down to Lusaka but there is no other way than these two airlines. So back to the question, who do you guys get your flight information from?

Frankly, there is no source available that is 100% certain.

Neither the airlines nor the travel agents are at fault.

Problem is between governments due to the Chink virus.
