Just did it both ways with the family last week, Its just a bit more leg room, if your not over 6' or so I think its a waste of money. Power ports are nice and food was no different in my opinion.

Service was typical coach.

Where the power ports actual regular 110v plug ins? Thanks.
We did it both ways, returning week before last. I will definitely do it again, but next time I will try and book Row 31, which is a bulkhead row. I didn't notice power outlets and the 4 or 5 inches of additional legroom was great for long legs and bad knees...or maybe the free spirits helped with the bad knees.
Live from Afton Guest House, very nice by the way. Flew economy comfort last night. Quite comfortable with extra leg room. The power ports are normal 3 prong plugs.
Just checked Delta's Web site. With the upgrade you receive, early boarding, 4" more leg room, seat reclines an additional 50%, and complimantry spirits.

Just returned a week ago and flew Economy Comfort both ways. At 6'2" the extra leg room was definitely nice. I could actually stretch my legs out straight, up under the seat in front of me. I think if I can snag a bulkhead seat for no additional charge next time I will go that route and save some coin on the upgrade.
Booze is free to all on the flights, even the underage kid in the back swigging down Jack & Coke until asked for his ID, which he could not produce.

My Travel agent tried to get me a Bulkhead seat, but Delta has them blocked out for some reason. Anxious to see what another 50% of recline on the seat will be like?

Larrys01: The bulkhead seats in comfort economy are "reserved" for handicapped passengers, if no such passengers are ticketed the seats become available a day or two before the flights...this is row 31.
