Hey all - please check your Air Namibia reservations. Ours were cancelled yesterday (May 22nd) and not rebooked. Delta is currently working with us to figure this out. If you have a flight booked, double check it ASAP. Will post results later.

Do you mean that your flight scheduled for May 22nd was cancelled, or that a future flight was cancelled? If the latter, when was your flight and where were you to fly from/to with Air Namibia? How and by whom were you notified of the cancellation, ie. travel agent, Delta, or Air Namibia? With whom do you suggest checking on the status of our Air Namibia flights?

Answers to these questions would be helpful.

Many flights for may/june/july were cancelled then rescheduled. You will need to re-assign your seats. I e-mailed Air Namibia and got a fast, friendly reponse. Another in our group called the New York Office and got the run around. What I found out was that Air Namibia needed to adjust fight times. Instead of of adjusting the times they cancelled the flights and rebooked. Got it worked out today but you might want to check if you have tickets.

We were flying from Frankfurt to Windhoek in June and July as well as a return fight for each. I happened to check the Delta website this morning and the Air Namibia flights were gone off my itinerary. They are now back up but we had to get seat assignments again. Some hunters in our group used Travel agents and found the same issue. I contacted Delta this morning and we could not get an answer on what happened to the flights until late this morning. If you are flying Air Namibia just check to confirm your flights and seats.I am not sure how many flights were effected but it would be worth a phone call. Delta did saythey would get us from Franfurt to Windhoek should there be a problem.

Thanks for the info, Coues.

Did you do your booking through Delta? I booked Delta and Air Namibia (for mid-June) through Cheaptickets, although there was a change in the Delta flights originally booked so I had to go to the Delta ticket counter at the local airport to get reticketed. They were unable to make seat assignments on Air Namibia, so I'm still waiting on those.

I appreciate your alert.

Stonecreek - E-mail Air Namibia off their website and you can get seat assignments that way. Or you can call their New York Office directly. I booked flights directly thru Delta but seat assignments thru Air Namibia for that leg. When do you fly? We are on the 13th of June. Delta actually guaranteed me a better price and their service has been outstanding.

Thanks for the advice. I tried emailing Air Nam at their Frankfurt address but have received no reply. I'll try the email address you furnished me. Our flight leaves the U.S. on Delta on June 15 and Frankfurt on Air Nam June 16. We're hunting about 4 hours south of Windhoek. Where is your party?

The travel choices seemed to be spend the day in Germany sightseeing while the airlines take care of your baggage, or pay for a hotel and spend the night in Johannesburg with the extra hassle of managing your baggage and guns. That makes the Frankfurt route seem much the better choice.

I leave the 11th, someone else the 13thand then the 15th. Steve M is also in there somewhere. You would think with only Approx 2 million people we would cross paths somehow.

I am in Swakopmund june 26&27. Then at Zebra River Lodge unitl 7/1

I'm hunting with Vaughan and leaving Wednesday. I'm using the Atlanta-Frankfurt-Windhoek route. I checked on the Air Namibia website and my flight was still on there as scheduled. Should I do anything else?
