the current SO has an article about travel with guns to africa and one point it says to only carry 2 guns in a case per customer. i have been to tanzania three years in a row through amsterdam with three guns in a tuffpak with the license they require you get ahead. I have had no problem with three guns in my tuffpak. Has something changed or is this just a incorrect rule?
I do not think this is a TSA issue. Diferent airlines ahve different rules. Several limit cases to two guns each. Be especially carefull with connecitong, US carriers. I ran into this with Alaska a few years ago.

For whatever unexplained reason, some airlines limit a single case to no more than two guns. Perhaps it is part of their ongoing effort to generate extra baggage and extra revenues from baggage charges.
