Got this e-mail as I fly NWA a lot. Thought I might pass it along as I don't remember seeing it. Not sure how this affects sporting goods like gun cases. Posting it here as we don't have a 'traveling hunter' forum. Dear Steven Holder, As you may know, Northwest Airlines has announced a new checked luggage policy. Customers who purchase nonrefundable domestic Coach Class tickets may check one piece of luggage for free and a second piece for $25. We want to assure you that as a highly-valued Platinum Elite member, you and all of the travelers in your reservation are exempt from this policy change. For your travel convenience, WorldPerks Elite members traveling domestically will still be able to check two (2) pieces of luggage for free if ticketed in Coach, and three (3) pieces of luggage if ticketed in First Class. Please see Domestic Luggage Guidelines for more information. [...BLAH BLAH BLAH...] Sincerely, Bob Soukup Managing Director, WorldPerks -------- www.zonedar.com If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning DRSS C&H 475 NE --------

I never check two bags domestically ( heck, I hate checking anything at all), but will avoid Northworst on principle. Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps.

Continental is adding a 25 dollar charge to the second checked bag as well. Sitting here waiting for my bags to be delivered that didn't make it back from Orlando to Dallas. Wouldn't mind paying more if they would guarantee delivery! you can make more money, you can not make more time
