Are they sure they are Chinese ? There has been a history of North Korean military 'involvement' with the Zim Army dateing back to independance in 1980 and suppression of the Ndebele insurgency through to 1986.

In this scenario, aren't they one-in-the-same?

The report on our local channel last night ran a BBC feed that from memory mentioned both Chinese & Nth Korean presence propping up Mugabe's regime. Just goes to show they must be hard up for friends. Big Grin

The North Koreans trained 5Brigade for Mugabe(the Matabeleland massacres) and China has been economically active in Zim for over 20 years; in addition, provided military assistance to Zanu during the war. Don't know about troops on the ground, but, did not see any when we were in Zim 3 weeks ago. But, that don't mean they are not there!
