I'm in the British Airways lounge in Harare awaiting the 14:45 flight to JNB and then the long trek on DL201 to ATL an then a commuter home. I stayed at Afton in JNB on the way to Vic Falls and it was as always a joy. I had all my gun stuff filled out and had not a bump, except for a shift change in the middle of stamping my stuff, so it took an extra 15 minutes.... After my playing around in Vic Falls, Matetsi 3 and Sijiria (where I fished), I took the day long drive to Harare and had a short hassle at check-in with BA (CalmAir... or whatever its called). They told me I'd have to pay a $50 charge for "handling my rifle". I fixed that by upgrading to First Class for only $30 more and got privileges at the clubs in JNB and here with no baggage fee. But, the real reason for this missive is to praise Woodlands B&B. What a nice place it is! Secure, very clean, pretty and well maintained. If anyone is considering a B&B in Harare, they need to consider it for sure! Unfortunately, I have the task of flying with Bill73 back to ATL. Actually, he went to sleep an hour into the trip coming and slept until 2 hours before landing. He snores, though... glad I had my earplugs and ipod! JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

Glad you had a safe trip. Can't wait to hear all about it. I believe that was $30 well spent! "There are worse memorials to a life well-lived than a pair of elephant tusks." Robert Ruark
