Never know in Africa, but area is generally recognized as having a very high degree of corruption and drug trafficing and perhaps someone did not come through as promised??? Religion is predominantly Christian/Catholic with smattering of Muslims so may not be terrorist related at all. Again, may never know the reason for such an act.

In Kenya, you never know.

You may recall the embassy went up with great loss of life several years ago and that hotel on Mombasa Beach was also destroyed.

Spent a lot of time there over the years, and I don't like the place, althoug hanging out at tne Nyali Beach Hotel in Mombasa Beach and eating cheap, fresh seafood ain't all bad.

But if bombs are happening again, I'd look for something besides a drug deal gone bad. And another place to visit.
