Mrs. Surefire here, just want any feedback on recent transit through Newark with guns. Years ago it wasn’t a good experience. Hopefully we’d have guns checked from Denver all the way to Johannesburg.

I've travelled through there with guns checked from the west coast through to Africa without any issues.

We just came through Newark this past April/May. No problems at all. Check your bags through to final destination on your way out. Returning home, they have folks with guns go through a special Customs check..... guys were great. THEN, TSA take your your guns downstairs n checks them again. Time wise wasn’t too bad as there was only 2 of us with guns. Customs guy said at times it can take hours as there can be a bunch of hunter's coming back. Customs agent also said they have begged TSA to just send someone up to do a dual/ simultaneous check to expedite but their requests have gone unheard.

I came back through there last September with no issues other than I deeply disagree with my unlocked guns being taken out of my sight. There were probably 8 guys with guns in my group and it went pretty quick.
