Is anyone using one of americase two gun safari cases for African travel? I looked at them at SCI and liked how they have the guns supported, only downside I could see was 27 lb weight but still should stay under 50 with two guns.
Thanks
Craig

I've taken this case to Africa 3 times now and really like it. It is solid, well constructed, and I like the fact you don't have to pluck out the foam in order to get a good, tight gun fit.

I have many americase's and they are excellent.

Add the cover with your name with address and possible cell phone number stitched in.

Pick a color that you will be able to notice. I added a stitched figure to both end flaps. the cover protects your locking hasps from damage.

if you think that your gun will move around you can add some foam padding/or clothing to fill the gaps. I do this for my break down guns.

Easy to spot/see your gun case if someone is walking off with your gun case. this happens.

Thanks for the input JG and Bwana.I have a ICC case and had it in a concealment bag but airlines usually never send it to the right area with the other guns. Last year in Atlanta it didn't show up at customs so I started looking for it and found it laying out in the open by oversize baggage. I took it back to customs and they said they were going to fine the airline. This has happen a couple times so I think I will go with the Americase.

Yes. I have several of them of different designs. I love them. They have been taken all over the world repeatedly.

One thing I do to help my airline gun cases stand out is to buy skateboard decals (really large and colorful) and put them on both sides of the case.

I have a 3-gun Americase. It protects contents well, but with 3 guns inside it's just too heavy. I think it's 27 pounds empty and 3 guns puts it well over 50. I've also got a single gun Americase that I like much better.

My Americase is the two gun with the rifles upright. Don't know the model. It looks like my old beat up pickup now, but it is a tank and nothing has ever been damaged.

I picked up one on ebay used, its been to Africa with me once and heading back this fall. I also used it to ship two safari rifles to gunsmith, just slapped a ups sticker on it and mailed the keys to the smith. They are fairly indestructible and protect your guns well.
