IIRC, you cannot travel with the powder, pellets, pyrodex, etc. You will have to obtain it from someone in RSA or have it shipped in advance to a "FFL-type receiver" in RSA. Will J. Parks, III | |||

As has been said, all black powder, black powder substitutes & percussion caps are all very strictly prohibited from being carried on any commercial aircraft and there are absolutely no exceptions to this rule. The good news is your safari company should be able to source it for you without too much trouble.... However, I'd suggest you give them plenty of time to get it for you. | |||

When I was in SA in Just there wasa BP hunter in the camp for a couple of days. he had planned on buying it in a shop when he arrived along with caps and scuch.
