Hey guys, I'm in the process of booking a hunt in Zimbabwe and am curious what travel agent you guys have used flying from Canada. I will be traveling with a rifle.

I talked to Gracy Travel and who ever I talked to didn't want to book me because he didn't know the rules about traveling from Canada.

Thanks.

Get in touch with Travel with Guns, I would not think being in Canada would be a problem. It's not up to you to know the rules of travel, that's their job.

You won't be traveling from Canada to Zim with guns...Canada won't issue you a temporary export permit to Zim.

How ridiculous!

Whenever one hopes politicians will learnt a little bit of common sense, they come up with something like this!!

OK, there is an arms embargo on Zimbabwe, but how should this affect an individual taking his hunting rifles there and back??

I'm just the messenger! To take firearms outside of North America from Canada you must have a temporary export permit issued by the government to do so and there are certain countries they won't issue one for. Zim being one. Ridiculous? Yup. The way it is? Yup.

You can legally take a firearm to SA yes but you would need a flight itinerary that only comes and goes to SA and a letter of invite from a South African outfitter to hunt in South Africa.
