I know that nearly everyone coming from the USA into Kilimanjaro/Arusha flies KLM via Amsterdam. In looking at our options to get there in late November, I’ve decided to try a different way to get to Arusha. My son and I will depart San Francisco on Emirates, flying to Dubai. Spend a couple days in Dubai then fly to Kilimanjaro on FLY DUBAI. I’ve never read about anyone using them before but have done some checking and they appear to be fine for flying with guns from Dubai to Kili. I was even able to enlist assistance of a certain gentleman who frequents this website, and he assures me we should not have any issues. So, here are my questions. 1; Has anyone used FLYDUBAI to get to Kili before with their guns? 2; Why haven’t more people discovered this option? I’d far prefer riding in an A380 to an old 747 and Dubai is an interesting city to visit. We’ll arrive in Arusha 2 days before we charter out to camp, so will probably spend it in Tarangire, game viewing. That’ll give my son some experience in looking at big buffalo before he’s actually hunting them. Anyone have any thoughts on FLYDUBAI?

My wife and took Emirates from Houston to Dubai in October, overnighted in Dubai and them took Fly Dubai to Kilimanjaro. We flew business class and the Emirates flight was fine but I have to say that the terminal that Fly Dubai uses is a huge disappointment compared to the main terminal in Dubai I’ve gone through before. No problem with the rifles on Fly Dubai but I won’t fly it again. Used United and KLLM in 2017 through Amsterdam and much preferred it.
