Mike:

Just what I have read here: www.zimbabwesituation.com

Most recently it appears due to their inability to pay for fuel.

Hi Steve

My other half has just spoken to someone at Gatwick Airport and they said that last Thursdays flight was cancelled and that they wont know about this Thursdays flight until tomorrow night. I hope this is all cleared up ASAP.

Mike

Hi Mike

Yeah as RCG noted they have fuel problems so it wouldn't surprise me if they had cancelled. To be honest I have not sold a ticket on them in years due to the uncertainty of the operations.

I checked the Johannesburg/Harare flight this morning - it did operate - scheduled for 930am departure and left at 947am.

You can keep an eye on the flight departures on Air Zim by going to the Airports Company SA and going to "Live Flight" info.

Hope this helps

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! I was on Sundays flight to mud island. Left an hour late and was two hrs late in arriving.

The dear leader needed a plane and fuel to go to hospital in malasisa on friday so the problems were sorted out. Thursday- no fuel. Friday - bob took the plane, saturday catchup, sunday back to Normal. Once in the air, Air Zim has beter food and better service than any airline I have flown on except Emerates.

I hafta to agree with that, although it has been many years since I flew Ari Zim between Joburg and Harare. That had to be the best meal I ever ate on an airplane and that covers a lot of territory.

But given the way things are now, it'll be a cold day in hell before I board an Air Zim airplane.

few years back we were flying air zim from kariba to harare, uncle bob needed the plane so everyone was left standing on the tarmack. the air zim people sent everyone to a hotel with a bar/resturaunt next morning we were loaded on a bus for harare, when the hotel manager came running out. evidently air zim had paid for the meals and rooms, but not the bar bill, which some people had really rang up a big one. nobody admitted to the deed, so i imagine the hotel got stuck, but was rather humorous at the time
