I will be leaving on my 1st trip to Namibia in a couple weeks, and just found out that residents of the state of Washington can't get MedJet Assist. Is there anyone out there who has purchased any other emergency evacuation insurance who can give me recommendation?

Try Global rescue. Some say they are better than Medjet Assist.

I would agree. I have Global Rescue and found them to be more than helpful last year when BOTH of my sons became ill in Argentina. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I live in and am a resident of the state of Washington and have had (and just renewed) my MedJet policy for myself and family.

Maybe they just don't like you???

If you are a AARP member, MedJet Assist is an approved provider and gives a discount to AARP members.

John, They said they were rewriting the policy for WA residents, but now that I think about it, they have probably heard of me and don't like me.

I ended up getting Global Rescue.

I hear they would charge extra to get me out of Iraq.
